Today I am posting everyone's favorite hyderabadi karachi buscuits, it's in my to do list from 2 years.. Now finally time arrived to try these, as my partner for this month Shh Secretly Cooking sharanya of Sara's taste buds challenged me with fruit, flour. I have used all purpose flour, tuttyfruity to bake melt in mouth tasty, easy karachi bicuits


Allpurpose flour 150gms or 1 1/4th cup
100gms cooking butter
suagar pwdrd 1cup(adjust acc to taste)
tutifruti 1/4th cup
rose essence/ vanila assence 1 teaspn
cardamom pwdr 1 teaspoon


  • Before starting process take out butte from refridgerator n keep a side to soften
  • seive flour
  • add sugar pwdr to butter n blend till light n creamy
  • To this add essence, cardamom pwdr, tutyfruity, then add flour in three batches n knead to dough with fingers
  • now shape dough to long log in a square shape n cling in film then refridgerate 1 hour
  • preheat oven for 10 mins at 180 degrees 
  • now cut like slices half inch thick sqaure shaped buscuits.. and place in a baking tary for baking at 180 degrees for 15 mins
  • check in btwn if biscuits turn lil brown at bottom then take off immedietly from oven n cool it for 5mins, then trasfer to wire rack for cooling as they will be soft inside cooling it turins crispy.
  • I use cups for mmt as it makes easy if we try with differant mmts with out any confusions esp for baking we need exact measurements.

Today I am posting authentic all purpose pickle can be stored up to  couple of months
As soon as my partner veena Krishna Kumar of  of 
Veena's vegnation gave me chillies, raddish as my secret ingredients for this month's SSshh Secretly Cooking,  I have used red chillies to make this heavenly chutney, can be enjoyed with hot rice with dollop of ghee, also with idli, dosa



Ginger                     -1 cup sliced

Jaggary                   - 3/4 th cup(can increase or                                                        decrease acc)     
Tamarind                 - 1/2 cup (+/- acc )
Salt                         - 1 tablespoon(adjust)
oil                           - 1/2 cup
Fenugreek seeds      - 1 teaspoon
Coriander seeds       - 1 tsp
Jeera                      - 1tsp
Dry Red chillies             - 4

For Temper:

Oil                      - 2  tbspn

Mustard seeds     - 1 Tspn
Jeera                  - 1 Tspn
Garlic crushed     - 6pods
Curry leaves        - 8


  • Heat 2 tblespoons of oil, add ginger slices n cook till light pink appr 5 mins
  • Soak tamarind in hot water till soft
  • Heat lil oil, add fenugreek seeds,coriander seeds, jeera, red chillies n grind to fine powder
  • Now grind ginger slices, salt, jaggary, tamarind u can add water if rqd.
  • Now add ground powder to ginger paste, adjust spice level, salt, sweet according to taste
  • Now heat 2 tablespoons of oil add mustard seeds, let it splutter then add jeera, garlic, curry leaves, let it cool n add to ginger paste
  • Serve with hot rice/idli dosas.

Today I am going to post a perfect teatime snack can be enjoyed with a hot cup of tea in chilling monsoon evening, its a best recipe who love to experiment new varieties ,bored of same old bhajiyas and pakodas

    Tried capsicum rings as a change to routine and it turned too tasty and delictable, I am posting this for  this month's 
SSshh Secretly Cookingmy partner of this month  Priya of Priya's Versatile recipes have challenged me  with capsicum, riceflour , I have used both to create this recipe. Do vist her blog its on top 200 indian blogs, very proud to be her blogging friend


Capsicum/bellpeppers - 2 sliced thinly
Gramflour/besan - 1/2 cup
Riceflour/cornflour - 1 tablespoon
All purpose flour - 1 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - acc to taste
Salt- acc to taste
Cooking soda - a pinch
Oil - for deep frying


  • Mix all ingredients except capsicum slices and oil by adding water to get pakoda batter consistency so as to dip capsicum slices
  • Heat oil in a kadai deep fry batter dipped slices to golden brown colour
  • Serve with tomato ketchup or green chutney

Today I am posting summer refreshment cooler lemon squash, as evry summer will be incomplete without lime juice as its easy n tasty to prepare, we can make it like sqaush in bulk n can consume whenever we want by just adding water without any effort
 I am posting this to shh secretly cooking group n I am paired with veena krishna kumar of Veena's vegnation she writes a wonderful blog with vegetarion cuisine



  • 500 grams lemons or 10 to 12 lemons or 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 500 grams regular sugar 
  • 8 to 9 green cardamoms(optional)


  • Heat water by adding sugar to form string consistancy
  • Let its cool to rrom temperature
  • Squeeze lemons and add this juice to syrup (roomtemperature), add cardamom powder for flavor.
  • Store in a jar and enjoy by just adding water 


  • Squeeze lemons, add sugar and allow to sugar to dissolve keep 1 day in sunlight 
  • Store in a jar to use whenever want to consume

Blogging became challenging for me these days with 2 kids preparing a dish is an easy task but capturing is the tough as their anxiety to tadte something new dish will make them hurry to touch the dish, but my sweet kids are understnding my blogging they are patiently waiting till captures are done.
   Today I came up with a holi themed colourful recipe of dryfruit rose milk very easy to make n percect for fest n season too. This month 
Mayuri patel challenged  me with dryfruits, flour n I used dryfruits for this month shh secretly cooking challenge, very much delighted to be in this group as it keeps me connected with my life blogging



Chilled Milk -3 cups

Badam - 6 no.s
Figs - 5
Cashews - 10
Cardamom - 3 grounded
Raisins - 5
Walnuts -4
Sugar/ honey - according to taste
Rose syrup - 3 tablespoons(optional)


  • Soak figs n raisins for 10 mins and grind to a smooth paste
  • Soak 3 badam,7 cashews, 3 walnuts gor 10 mins and reserve reamaining for topping made into small pieces
  • Now blend all the ingredients except rose milk to form a froathy shak
  • Serve chilled by adding dryfruits reserved for topping n rose syrup

Today I am posting every one's favorite veg burger tastes same as mcdonald, kfc burger more than this if we spend some time we can relish healthy, tasty burger at very loww price according to our taste, its there in my to do list from long time but never tried, these days my lil kushi is relishing my experiments n enjoying varieties cooked by me, motivating me to prepare more n mire spl dishes for my kidoo..O dont know how I will fly in clouds when she compliments me, she said good job mamma by tasting..normally I try to prepare evrythg at home as she is particualr about spicylevel so I prepare customized recipes for her so mumma kush kushi kush, now cmg to recipe



Buns - 4
Butter - 1 tablespoon

For patties

Potatoes - 2
Carrot - 1
Cabbage - 2 table spoons grated
Cauliflower - 3 big florets
Beans - 10
Bread crumbs - 1 cup
Oil  -2 tablespoons
Gingergarlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Onion -1
Jeera pwdr - 1 teaspoon
Coriander pwdr - 1 teaspoon
Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
Cornflour - 1 tablespoon
Riceflour - 1 tablepsoon
Gramflour - 1 tablespoon


Mayonise - 3 tablespoons
Cabbage - 1 tablespoon shredded
Carrot - 1 tablespoon shredded
Mustardpowder - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon

Tomato, onion, cucumber slices


  • Heat 1 teaspoon oil, add gingergarlic paste, saute for a minute, add choppes onion ket it turn light brown, now add jeera owdr corianderpwdr, garammasala n saute for a minute.
  • Add this mixture to boiled n mashed potatoes n veggies mixture
  • Add half cup of bread crumbs to this mixture.
  • Now divide veg stuff into 4 equal parts n shape according circle to size of burger
  • Make paste of flours usimg water n coat patties evenly with this paste, dip in bread crumbs
  • Deep fry or shallow fry patties using oil( I have made this in airfrier)
  • Now cut 1 bun into two buns for stuffing
  • Using butter grill buns for few minutes in pan.
  • Now keep dressing ready by mixing all ingredients of dressing part mayo, sugar, mustard pwdr, shredded cabbage, carrot.
  • Now take 2 parts of bun place pattie on lower side of bun and keep veg slices, lettuce,spinach(optional) pour in some toamto ketchup apply mayo for upper part and place this on pattie filled bun
  • Enjoy with potato chips, soft drink

Today i am posting a recipe, I never thought I would try this, its a very simple but yummy dessert made in no time with few ingredients, prepared this for shh secretly cooking challenge, my partner priya sateesh of priya's menu Challenged me with strawberries n chocolate, I have used both n it turned out awesomen vanished by kids as soon as I finished taking snaps dat too secretly I have taken photoshoot



Choco buscuits/cake slices - 3
Custard - 1 cup 
Fresh straberries - 10 sliced n whole


  • Grind buscuits to a powder
  • Prepare custard by boiling half litre of milk, 2 tablespoons of custard powder dissloved in 2 tablespoons of milk, added to boiling to thick paste by stirring continuously let it cool
  • Now take serving glass or bowl, spread a layer with biscuits/cakes
  • Spread another layer with custard now decorate sliced strawberries to corner of glass , sprinkle choco powder n place some fresh whole straw berries n pour some custard n set in refridgerator for half n hour
  • Serve chilled
